Samani Rohini Pragya
Dr. Samani Rohini Pragya is Associate Professor in the department of Non Violence and Peace Studies at Jain Vishva Bharti Institute, Ladnun, India. She took her Diksha (Jain initiation) from the Guru Acharya Mahapragy ji in 2002. Her area of specialization includes Jainism, Comparative Religion and Philosophy, Ahimsa, Training in Non Violence and Preksha Meditation. She has her Masters in Accounting, Philosophy and Religion and Science of Living. She did her M.Phil. and Ph.D. from Jain Vishwa Bharati Institution. The Ph.D. thesis is titled, “Jaina View of Reality: A Hermeneutic Interpretation” She has traveled to many states of India and other countries like Nepal, US, UK, Indonesia, Israel and Singapore and participated in many conferences, seminars, workshops and delivered guest lectures at other universities. The epistemic and ethical theories of Jainism and Western philosophy are of prime interest.
